Jobs ’saved Or Created’ In Congressional Districts That Don’t Exist

Jobs 'saved Or Created' In Congressional Districts That Don't ExistFrom ABC news:

Here’s a stimulus success story: In Arizona’s 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that’s what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.

There’s one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.

And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.

Also:  Rep David Obey (D-WI):

“Credibility counts in government and stupid mistakes like this undermine it… Whether the numbers are good news or bad news, I want the honest numbers and I want them now.”

Karl Rove On The Financial Crisis – Who Is Responsible?

Karl Rove explains the involvement of Barack Obama in refusing to regulate Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac.

I get so tired of pundits asserting Republicans and Democrats are equally to blame for the financial crisis.  As everyone knows the crisis was mostly brought on by the housing industry and the problems of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac which problems are solely owned by the Democrats.

Even Bill Clinton (at the end of the video found here) admitted the Democrats are responsible for not tightening up on Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac.

3,236 New Jobs Created By Stimulus In Oregon

3,236 new jobs where created in Oregon as a result of new stimulus money.

Only one problem…

These new jobs only lasted 32 hours.

Following from Union-Bulletin Editorial Board:

[...]

Oregon’s clowns — er, government officials — claim that state’s $176 million stimulus program has created 3,236 new jobs in the program’s first three months.

But those jobs lasted an average of just 35 hours, or about one work week, reports Ryan Kost of The Associated Press. After that, those workers were effectively unemployed again, according to an Associated Press analysis of state spending and hiring data.
