The Difference Between Glenn Beck And Rush Limbaugh

Today I was so disappointed listening Rush Limbaugh criticize Glenn Beck’s CPAC speech, though he never mentioned Glenn by name you knew who he was talking about.  Under the subject of what he (Rush) would have said….

I became a conservative from listening to the speeches of Ronald Reagan.  In those days there were no conservative voices in the media. So when Rush first started his radio show here in Kansas City I was excited that someone was finally saying the things I believe.

Glenn is correct in his praise of Rush Limbaugh.  Glenn said in his speech that Rush is one of his heros.  I have also heard him, on his radio show say that Americans should get on their knees everyday and thank God for Rush Limbaugh and Foxnews. However, there is a difference between Rush and Glenn that desperately needs to be understood.

  1. Rush believes liberals are the enemy – Glenn believes progressives are the enemy.
  2. Rush believes a reformed Republican party is the answer – Glenn believes fundamentally restoring the country to the constitution and the principles of the founding fathers is the answer.

These differences are important to understand and then to decide which you believe. Lets put aside for just a moment all the historical data of of both Democrat and Republican progressives trying to destroy this country and just look at it for a moment of salesmanship.

Which idea do you think the overall American people would support more easily:

  1. That liberalism, which is viewed as a political ideology and difference in opinion is the problem … or
  2. that progressivism, which is defined as a movement to destroy the constitution and values of America is the problem?

The answer jumps off the page at you doesn’t it?  Progressivism is the 5th column within this country doing everything it can to transform it into a Socialism Lite type of country and it has infected both Democrat and Republican parties. There are many many liberals who love this country and could / and would / support a movement such as the tea party if defined as a movement of constitutionalists who only want to restore the country to the principles of our founders.

This brings me to another important point that both Glenn and the tea party movement need to address more fully. They both need to pound and pound on two ideas;  the tea party is…

  1. a call to fundamentally restore the country to the constitution and
  2. become known as a movement of constitutionalists and NOT a conservative or Republican movement.

If the later succeeds the country fails – the 5th column will destroy us. If Republicans regain power without a constitutional watchdog movement holding them in check – progressives will win and little by little they will past non-constitutional laws, such as “Mccain Feingold” and slowly we will morph into Socialism.

About McCain winning the Republican nomination Ann Coulter asked, “How many times do we have to try this experiment?  Every time we nominate a liberal [progressive] we lose.  Every time we nominate a conservative we win.”   So let me ask a similar question:  “How many times do we have to attempt to reform the Republican party and fail before we understand it is impossible?”

Update

Glenn is also being accused of GOP bashing and supporting a 3rd party – both which are ridiculous.

The Greatest Depression In American History

While we are told the Great Depression was in the 1930’s the truth is the greatest depression in American history was in 1920 though short-lived because our leaders did the correct thing and cut spending and taxes which brought about the greatest prosperity in American history – the “Roaring Twenties”.

Click here to listen to Glenn talk about this fascinating time and how it compares to today.
