Genesis 32:1-2 NLT  As Jacob started on his way again, angels of God came to meet him.  2 When Jacob saw them, he exclaimed, "This is God's camp!" So he named the place Mahanaim.

Why did angels of God meet Jacob?

Generally, when we read about angels in the scripture they are delivering a message or empowering God's people in some way.  But in this instance, when Jacob had left Laban and continued on his journey home there is no message or need of deliverance - we are only told they met with Jacob.  So what was the occasion for this meeting?
